RESCALING: WHY BOTHER?
Jim Moon will share his considerable expertise regarding scale design and its importance
to
easier and more stabile tuning, voicing and other closely related topics.

Indeed, why should one bother to change a piano’s scale?
As far as this writer knows the better piano manufacturers did a remarkable job of
designing
workable scales using the old empirical method. However, they lacked some of the tools
necessary to use some of the most helpful acoustical information that has long been
available.

Bob Bergantino and Bob Russell have taken the lead on our Annual Winter Party. Once
again we
meet at the Bergantino residence/party center in Willoughby Hills.

Bob will coordinate which side dishes people want to bring.
Chapter will bring the honey baked ham and soft drinks.

Directions (beyond over the river and through the woods)
From I-480: travel to I-271 (head North )
From I-271:get off at Wilson Mills exit; go east for about 2.5 miles to River rd.
Take River rd left (north) for about a mile to Rogers Rd. Turn right on
Rogers rd and go about a mile to Mill Gate Dr. Turn left on Mill Gate and I am
the 4th house on the left. 2960.
From I 90 and West Cleveland: At I-90/I-271 split take
Erie, PA split of I-90.
Get off at SOM Center Rd (Rt. 91) and head South to Chardon Rd.
(Rt. 6),Turn left at Chardon rd. (east) and proceed for about 3 miles to
Worrell Rd (County Line Rd equivalent). Turn right (south) and proceed for
about 1 1/2 miles to Rogers Rd. Turn right (west) and proceed about 1/4 mile
to Mill Gate Drive. Turn right (north) and proceed to the 4th house on
the left side:2960 Mill Gate Dr. Willoughby Hills
