Chapter Business Meeting
This month it is time to gather Nominations for Chapter officers.  Also a request has been made to rethink meeting times.

If you missed us... WE'RE BACK.....The BOSTON Expedition has returned. (Note background color of newsletter inspired by Boston Lobster Bisque (got it from one of my shirts.))

With the exception of the getting to Boston, (Most everyone who flew has a story to tell) and one bowl of Clam Chowder, this trip exceeded my / all of our, expectations.  It will be hard to beat!!!   Before I get into details,  a few Thank You (s) and credits to some people who made all this work;  To Gerry Paluck, who got the ball rolling and did factory contacts, To the Bruce Clark and the Mason Hamlin Factory who gave well beyond measure,  in time, knowledge, patience, hospitality. To Bob & Miriam Thayer, for hotel selection. To Kevin Leary who came up with the best solution to getting to the factory, and secured an extra tour. (The North Bennett St. School. (It was great too)).    My assistance/ adviser/ procurement officer, Rod Summerlin. The chapter board, And to all the rest of our tour group. People can make or break the adventure and you done good.  When you can, talk with any of our group.  Watts, Miller, Thayer, Leary, Summerlin, Newell, Sloane, Bergantino, or Bratton. We all have stories.

Will publish more photos and stories when I can get to it.

Notice From The  National Home Office  PTG

New Technical Exam Procedures go into effect on April 30. Starting on that  day, the administration of all PTG Technical Exams will have to be led or supervised by a Certified Technical Examiner (TEC). Tuning Examiners (CTE's) are not qualified to lead the administration of Technical Exams without also receiving TEC certification. If you are an Associate planning to take the technical Exam after April 30, you should make sure to arrange for the exam with a qualified TEC (see list of those closest to you below). If you are planning to take the exam at a Regional or State conference, you should find out the name of the TEC in charge before registering for the exam with the conference registrar.

List of Certified Technical Examiners
Region 4 - Central East:
Hoessly, Kim - Columbus
Bittner, Richard - Detroit-Windsor
Gutowski, Michael - Chicago
Minor, John - Central Illinois

When registering for Technical Exam preparation classes at State or Regional conferences, make sure that the instructor-in-charge is a TEC - otherwise, there is no guarantee that the class content will be accurate or up-to-date.
