Butts and Flanges/ Newsletter of
The Cleveland Chapter of the PTG
Meeting Monday April 12th 2004 at the shop of Stu Freedman. We start
at 7pm with a greet and eat.
Tech begins when we see enough people.
43 Furnace St. Akron 330-376-3373
The Technical : May be a simplistic tech for some of the guys, so I am hoping that the more experienced people will participate to give the less experienced members a view of how to approach action repair/rebuilding. If there are enough guys, I thought of maybe putting teams together to evaluate actions and then compare results together. If time permits it might be interesting to compare costs of materials from different suppliers. Stu Freedman
P.S. Bring a chair to the meeting, Stu has a limited number of seats.
March Technical Review
Well......judging by the jump in attendance, seems
lots of people are interested in
PitchLock couplers. Our near record breaking crowd, was treated to an
in-depth examination of the newest tuning technology
. In short, This system improves unison stability, while potentially
reduces false beats and has a low cost. There is some interesting science going on
here.

A big thanks to Sumwalt's for the uses of the facilities and to Rod Summerlin for catering the affair.
In other news; Lynn Gilmore is recovering from open-heart surgery at Aultman Hospital in Canton. The procedure was on Wednesday March 31st and went well. He is on schedule with his recovery. I am sure he would like to hear from us so drop him a note of encouragement. His home address is 5125 Beachview Circle, NW Canton OH.44139
