Cleveland native Jeff Samuel is the
new face of techno, stepping onto the international stage with his unique brand
of minimal yet melodic grooves. With
artists such as Ricardo Villalobos and Michael Mayer remixing his work and DJ's
such as Richie Hawtin, Sven Vaeth, Josh Wink, Timo Maas, and Steve Bug charting
his records, it is quite apparent that Jeff is a key player in techno and the
subgenres that surround it.
Drawing from his early
experiences with Titonton Duvante and the Columbus "ele mental"
collective, Jeff Samuel is also very much at home behind the decks. It’s often
possible to catch Jeff using some of his unique trick-oriented elements of
mixing (Detroit style), which is something he attributes to some of his
influential favorites such as Derrick May and Jeff Mills.
With a full European tour slated for Spring and plans to continue to push his quality sound further – with upcoming releases on Spectral and Morris Audio – Jeff Samuel proves he is one to watch.
