"Strike the Gold"
At Stud

Today, Strike the Gold is 16 years old.  He stood his first 4 years at Vinery in Kentucky.  Due to unsuccessful stud bookings, Strike was sold to the Turkish Jockey Club.  Strike the Gold is now standing in Turkey just outside of Istanbul. 

The wonderful folks at Vinery should be commended for the excellent care they provided for the horse while he was at their facility.  I also highly respect their unsuccessful attempt to keep Strike in America.  Vinery is a class act.

Although Strike the Gold has had a few Stakes winners, he hasn't had the "big horse" that every sire needs.
