As we all know, Strike the Gold was an "out of the clouds" closer. Not surprisingly, what I have found, is that a very high percentage of Strike the Gold's progeny are also closers. This is how they prefer to run. No one watches more Strike the Gold horses in action than Clever. Almost without exception, when these horses do well, they are allowed to settle and make their run. Also, almost without exception, when they are put on or near the lead, they tire or "hang" in the stretch.
I hope this humble advice will help put your Strike the Gold horse in the winners circle!
