Feasts and sculduggery and wars.

This is the good stuff. The reason we put out all the money and effort and time that we do. By we of course I mean the Silver Talons. And by good of course I mean the opposite of bad. And by reason I mean of course the justifica... What? Oh, sorry...

Well, let's start with the really exciting stuff. Wars. Medieval ones, since where's the fun in shooting someone with a missile from thousands of miles away? No, we prefer to do it the old fashioned way. And we're not the only ones.

A battle from Clinton in 1999. This, for example, is Clinton War. Or at least a little bit of it. There's very few pictures of the whole thing given that in 1999 there were at least 1100 people there, and in 2000 the figures I've heard fluctuate between 1300 and 1700. It's hard to get an accurate count of course, but I tend to think the larger is true given how packed the site was.

Clinton takes weeks to set up, and two good days of fighting and partying to resolve. It's traditionally a conflict between Lion's Gate and Ramsgaard, but other factions can and usually do get involved for one side or the other or just because their troops are spoiling for a rumble.

More impressions and recollections from Clinton Wars past will be collected on the Clinton page as soon as I get around to collecting and impressing them.

There's other wars that we attend as well, the main ones being Winter War and Quad War. Both have rather unique flavours to them as well... Quad war is a four sided war, between various factions from An Tir. That leads to interestingly timed strikes against your allies and enemies alike as only one side can win. And Winter War is staged in doors since it theoretically occurs in the depth of the snowy season. Both are much smaller than Clinton, but still a blast to fight in.
