Barclays Premiership

Last year Thierry Henry was the Premierships top scorer with 30 goals for his club. This helped Arsenal to win the Premiership without losing a single goal. Arsenal scored 78 goals in total and conceived just 26 giving them a goal difference of 52! At the end of the season they finished top, 11 points in front of Chelsea who were second and 15 points in front of their fierce rivals Manchester United. Can Arsenal win the premiership again and stay unbeaten for the whole season?

The divisions top scorer was Andrew Johnson for Crystal Palace who scored 28 goals and helped his team through the play-offs and gain promotion to the Premiership even though Palace finished in 6th place! West Bromich Albion also gained promotion by finishing in second place 8 points behind Norwich. However with the introduction of a new name for the league and with 6 new teams including the relegated Leeds United a lot of teams have a big chance of promotion this year...

Brighton who finished 13 points behind the champions in 4 place also gained promotion through the playoffs with their striker Leon Knight being the divisions top scorer after scoring 26 goals in 49 games. The Coca Cola League 2

They had only just been promoted from the Conference the previous season. They finished top with 92 points just 4 points more than runners up Hull City. Both teams were promoted along with Torquay United who finished 3rd, 11 points behind the champions but battled their way through the play-offs. David Graham helped Torquay gain promotion with his 22 goals for the club which made him the divisions top scorer.
