Include some speech that describes the character to the reader
During the build-up you must:

Introduce a second character - the hero

Tell us more about the problem

Include speech between two characters

Use alliteration and short sentences

Use long sentances that use conjunctions like 'and' and 'but'

Use commas in long sentences

Use strong verbs

Use interesting adjectives for description

Use an adverbial phrase to tell the reader 'where' the action takes place

Describe what the characters do after they speak.
For the climax you must:


Explain what the character is doing to carry out the plan

Use time connectives

Use short repetitive and alliterative phrases

Use superlative adjectives and strong verbs

Use similies and onomatopoeia

Include short sentences to build the suspense

In the climax you could also use:


The introduction of other characters to help carry out the plan

A question or statement for the reader
During the resolution you must:

Include speech to show that the problem is solved

Describe what happens to the main character

Use a time connective particular to the genre like 'from that day on...'
During the ending you must:

Use a traditional ending, for example, 'and to this very day...'

Use present tense

Use a sentence with a conjunction

Use exciting adjectives and strong verbs
