Future plans I have for mine is a 4L80E tranny to give me a 4th gear and better miles per gallon. I also want to get the motor built a little better, maybe a turbocharger and definately true dual exhaust.

| This is my truck. A 1990 Chevrolet SS 454. I got this my senior year in high school, which was December something or other, thats besides the point. I do however know a good bit about the truck. It belonged to a good friend of my dad's who past away back in 1996 I believe. His son was just about to start driving and his mom didnt want him driving that, two reasons being terrible gas milage and it being a 454. The truck was purchased new from Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet. When It was purchased by me, it had 35,000. Currently it has 67,000 miles on it. But lets get to the good stuff right? It has a 454 mark IV big block. although it only makes a laughable 230hp it makes right at 400 ft/lb of torque. This was enough back in 1990 to get it to the end of the quarter mile before the corvette could. Impressive? Yeah, i thought so too. Has a th400 3speed tranny with a 3.73 posi rear end. Does 89 @ 15 secs in the 1/4 mile stock. Thats pretty much it. If you would like to know more about these trucks, or the 91,92, and 93 models, try going to www.ss454.com.
