Your belief system is the thermostat of your life. What you believe about God, yourself, and the principles of scripture is the ultimate key to your success. So today, I want to talk about this key and present what you can do to strengthen your belief system.
We have allowed the world to pick up on some terminology that we know is scriptural and because the world begins to use it, we run from it.
Examples: "visualize" and "positive thinking". God does want us to have positive thoughts and to visualize ourselves as successful through His power to equip us to achieve His goals.
- Self-doubt assaults your belief. You must believe 3 things:
- Believe God has gifted you to do what He has called you to do.
- Believe in yourself that you can do whatever He calls you to do.
- Believe in the principles of scripture to guide you.
- How to strengthen your belief system?
- Accept as true: God has endowed you with everything you need to be what He wants you to be and to accomplish what He wants you to accomplish.
- Remember He has promised to make a way when there seems to be no way.
- Read your Bible with a red pencil, shade every verse that has to do with courage, confidence, faith, and believing.
- Pray those promises back to God.
- Visualize and affirm your assets.
- Stamp indelibly upon your mind the image of the person you want to become. Make a list of qualities.
- Replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts.
