Hi! I'm Mitzi! a.k.a.
"Moose"
In loving memory of Mitzi
who left us in February of 2001, at the ripe old age of 18 years and
2 months. She had been such an integral part of our family
since she was 4 months old that it just isn't the same without her
here around us. We miss her so much.
OK, so I'm not a cat, but I think I am.
I'm a 15 and a half year old Yorkie, and since I hold
seniority in the household, I demand special mention
here. My nickname "Mus", by the way, is Danish
for "mouse" (pronounced "moos"). My
owner got me when she lived in Denmark, and thought it was
a great name for me since I wasn't much bigger than a good
size mouse when I was a baby. I don't hear and see so well
anymore; she says I have "cataracts" in both
eyes. I've got a bad shoulder that dislocates occasionally
on me when I just walk down one stair step. That's really
annoying and it hurts! Most of my teeth are gone, too. Age
really stinks! I've lived in two other countries with my
owner, and sat and slept beside her in her Jeep on our
long drive from New York to Arizona. She says I'm a
"woman of the world" and her traveling buddy. I
think I'm a cat because they were my only role models
growing up.
My owner once had a Lynx
Point Siamese cat named "Sherlock". He and I
used to be the best of buddies and we played together all
the time. Sometimes he got the better of me when I least
expected it. Our owner caught one of our play sessions on
Polaroid film, so I thought I'd share it with you, even
though it's humiliating for me! My owner just HAD to put
her comments in! She can be so juvenile!

"I'll fake her out
with a frontal attack ..." |

"... grab her from behind in a
Half Nelson, ... " |

"... do a full body roll, and
she's down! TYO!
("Total Yorkie
Out")!" |
