| Hi! I want to introduce you to one of my new hobbies, the good ole art of picture preservation, Scrapbooking! It is just so much fun to do. You can make your pictures look wonderful and you will be preserving them for future generations. You can scrapbook almost any event in your life (provided someone took a few snapshots!) I am currently working on my wedding/honeymoon album, as well as a heritage/family album. I have already scrapbooked some of my childhood, my high school graduation, past christmas celebrations, summertime events, and much much more. |
| My name is Sara and I started scrapbooking about a year and a half ago (Fall 2001) when my friend Stacie took me to a Creative Memory party that she was attending. It looked like a lot of fun so I listened to the whole "this is the best way to preserve your pictures" speech and ended up purchasing almost $150 worth of merchandise. (I thought that my husband -then my b-friend was going to kill me for spending that much money on this stuff.)I worked on a few pages here and there when I could and I found that I really enjoyed it. When another friend of mine, Rose, asked me to go to another Creative Memory party with her and some of her in-laws, I went, knowing full well that I would end up buying more stuff. Luckily, I only spent about $50 that time. |

| My friends and I get together occasionally and scrapbook for hours. It is a good excuse to get away from the husbands and kids. We usually have so much fun that we forget to eat and we talk and share pictures with each other. |
| Where we buy our stuff |
| We all know that Creative Memory products are supposed to be the best scrapbooking supplies ever made, but, we all know that with growing families (and the price of inflation) that it becomes hard to purchase the things that we all need. My favorite place to shop for all my scrapbooking needs is Michaels The Arts and Crafts Store They have a wide variety of pens, papers, stickers, cardstock, scissors, die cuts, and adhesives. Another place that I have been seen in is A.C. Moore. They also have a variety of supplies for everyone. Other great places to shop are little scrapbooking stores. They often have stickers, pens, stencils, pages, design idea books, and other things. They may even have an incentive program. Purchase so many dollars worth of merchandise and get so much free. |
