A few notable notes:
Be sure to specify the cell height and width to the size of your background image, so that the whole image is shown even if the text doesn't cover the entire area, as highlighted in the example.
Make sure all borders, cellpadding and cellspacing properties are set to zero when piecing a cut-up image together using tables, or the effect won't work.
The image background can be used on both entire tables and table cells, and functions just like a BODY background image.
