Kent Strong: Friend or Foe? | |||
"Jonny Fly's fate" | |||
Begin Narrator Narrator: What in the world is going on? Kent Strong has turned his back on Jonny Fly? Let me refresh some things for the people at home. Kent Strong is not where he's at without Jonny Fly. He's not President of TNT Wrestling if Fly was "alive" at the time, or if Strong was not Fly's agent. Jonny Fly was Vice President of TNT Wrestling, and for a short time, filling in for Marcel a month before his retirement, CEO or President of the company. Fly was then found to be dead. Marcel not too much longer officially retired and without Fly around, gave the company to the closest thing. Kent Strong. Now Kent Strong feels that Fly is, and he didn't say this but it's how he feels, holding him back. Let me ask you guys a question. How far will a Manager go in the wrestling scene if he's not attached to someone. There's no such thing as a "roaming manager." It's been well known that Kent was only going to go as far as Jonny Fly took him. When Fly blossomed into one of the best wrestlers ever, Kent Strong received more opportunities than he ever would of if he was attached to..and just for an example.. Mike Furious. Greed can kill great things. Greed has killed Dynasty runs before, and now seems to have ruined one of the rare Manager/Superstar success stories. Kent Strong, after making million off his clients name alone, turned his back on the man that made him. He wanted more, he wanted Fly to give him credit, he wanted Fly out of administrative decisions. It's reality check time for Kent Strong. If Jonny Fly wants in on decision in HIS company, you better back the fuck up. He doesn't owe you shit. You owe him your career. You've put a blemish on greatness, Kent. It should be you in that warehouse! YOU! Which brings us to where we left off. Chris Raygen, hired by Kent Strong to lay waste to Jonny Fly, was in the process of finishing the deed. Jonny Fly was dragged from his hospital resting place after Raygen's attack on last weeks Mayhem and taken to an abandoned warehouse. At the warehouse, which supposedly is the same that Ridder's Cash Loans used to house Fly's father, Jonny was tied to the wall and told that the place was soaked in gasoline that's previous purpose was reserved for his father. As the scene came to a close, Raygen, on the outside of the Warehouse, was just about to toss a lighter at the gasoline soaked place. Now let me say this.. There's no doubt that this is a tight situation, even for Fly, who seems to have a knack for getting himself into these messes, and then, miraculously getting out of them. Such miracles have people calling him "invincible" and that "bullets cannot kill him." Raygen's line of thinking is, what about fire? What about the scar on his shoulder from a bullet? He's a hitman going against an "invincible man." Don't you get the feeling that.. Things aren't as they appear on the outside. Need we be reminded of a famous passage from Jonny Fly? You've seen it before, and now I'll show you again. Roll the tape.. End Narrator Excerpts From: Jonny Fly's Autobiography August 2002 Jonny Fly: "Sometimes things don't happen as you want. Sometimes things aren't what they seem. That's the story of my life. Deception. Things not being as they seem on the outside. It's how a 7 year old kid stay's alive on the streets. It's how a man who doesn't have 20 dollars to his name finds his way onto a UWA Roster. It's how a man that has just found his way onto a roster gains a Title in two weeks. It's how the UWA Television Champion takes a jump to the Number One Contender for the UWA World Title one month later." "With me, you can never look past the facts. If you do, you've fallen into the trap. Hook line and sinker. I say these words now, but they won't be remembered years from now, or even months from now. But that is the warning, the only warning I'll ever give to the ways that I work. I will confuse you, I'll frustrate you, I'll have you asking yourself if I'm legitimately crazy, and I'll never give the slightest hint as to why." "That is the way I work, as you'll find out soon enough. Don't ask questions, don't spend all night thinking about it. I have my ways of doing things that people don't need to understand. So don't try. If it doesn't come from me, don't believe it. If you cave in, your lost. Jonny Fly has just got the best of you..and you were warned." Begin Narrator Narrator: I've said it before. After hearing that, and witnessing what happened before in this saga.. I'm not putting anything past Fly. He puts himself in the line of danger just to set other people up. He let Tom slam into his Suburban, also carrying best friend Mark Vincent, and allowed them to drag him into the woods knowing full well the entire time he had them set up. That they couldn't kill him, and he could kill them. Or at least all but one. Raygen. Jonny Fly said he'd be at October Terror. If you've been anywhere close to TNT in the last year, you have to know, somehow, he'll fuckin' be there. If a man will go as far as he did to rid himself of Ridder's men before, won't he go even farther when the man chasing him has made it "personal?" You gotta believe that this is not the end of Jonny Fly. That Fly, won't allow himself, to be ruined by a backstabbing Kent Strong and a man he trained, Chris Raygen. This can't be the end, can it? Not days before he's scheduled to lead HIS company into battle. The Saga Continues.. As Previously Recorded.. The Fate of Jonny Fly. Again. End Narrator Fade In CONTINUED FROM "UNTITLED" With that Chris Raygen turns and walks away from Jonny Fly. Fly say's nothing, he just watches the man he once took under his wing, walk away. Raygen takes out a pack of cigarettes as he walks and pops one out of the soft pack. By now he's reached the entrance way. Raygen lights the cigarette and proceeds to leave the warehouse. He turns back around, not 10 yards away from the door he exited from. He pops the cigarette into his mouth and takes a puff before removing it. He speaks. Nothing worse than a man being sold out by friends, eh? With that Raygen clicks his lighter open. He pulls it back and looks as if he's about to throw it...when a voice interrupts him. Kent Strong: Not yet, Chris. Raygen clicks the lighter closed and then turns to the left to find the sight of Kent Strong bearing down on him. Strong walks up to Raygen and grabs the lighter out of his hand. He's in there, I suppose, right? Yes, and you just interfered with me finishing my contract. Now if you would please give me that lighter back, I can end this for all of us. You think you can just burn this place down and everything will be solved. That's not a man to underestimate inside there. Not to mention the attention a burnt warehouse will bring. It's abandoned, they won't be thinking it was an accident. They'll go in there and investigate. In the process they'll find a dead body, and the decayed, burnt remains of another. Come on, your smarter than that. Why did I hire you? I thought that's what you wanted? You told me I could kill him by burning up the warehouse with him inside of it. I know, and I was hoping you'd catch my mistake. I'm not the best at this, ya know? But we cannot burn that place down. It'll bring in too much attention. Let's let him sweat it out a little bit. We can go to lunch or something, talk it over there. By now Raygen has become completely confused. However, when the man who's paying you wants to change plans over lunch, you go to lunch. Raygen nods his head and answers. Your choice, but I wouldn't worry about police. I have a reputation to uphold, Chris. I run the best Wrestling Company on this Earth, and I will not be giving that up. That's why I want the fucker taken care of, and that's why I'm not risking an investigation, or even people knowing Fly is dead. Now we need to talk this over..come on.. Kent Strong begins a slow walk across the the street to a small tavern. Raygen follows him over. Strong reaches the door and pushes it open. Raygen follows him in. Both men a greeted by a hostess who takes them to a private room in the back of the building. As they enter the room we immediately notice a window behind the table. The table, horizontal to the wall the window is on, has already been set for two giving off the feeling that this was set-up before hand. Strong grabs a seat facing the window, and by default, Raygen grabs one with his back to the window. The two men begin a conversation. So, what are we going to do? We have to go in there and make sure the job is done right. I just have these sneaky feelings that that asshole will escape. Not to mention, it's still unknown about why you guys could not kill him in those woods. We have to see to this first hand. I'll go in with you.. I thought you said he can be killed? You don't sound so sure of that now.. Your talking to Kent Strong, Chris. I'm a businessman. I mean no disrespect, but I told you what I had to to get you here. I'm a man with a deep wallet, and your a professional killer. I have a man who I want you to kill. That's that. Let's not look past that. This is all a job. The original briefing needed a bit of editing. So, were gonna go in there and watch that fuck die. Do we agree on this? Yea. I can deal with that. Were just gonna walk in there and, what, shoot him? And what if I aim it at him, pull the trigger, and nothing happens..again? You know..you got it all wrong. Strong begins to smile. Wait..what? TNT Wrestling lives and dies by one name. When he's around, they're at a high, when he's not, people like Rollin' Thunder are allowed to hold titles. When he's around you can find Thunder and the rest of his pals hiding in the nearest cave. When he's gone, you can find them pretty much everywhere, strut in step, talking hard, World Title on shoulder, trying to BE this one man. What did I just get done saying? I'm a businessman, Chris. Killing Jonny Fly isn't good for business, just not for TNT, for me. Killing his enemies, however, solves a lot of my problems. Are you trying to back out of this? Your still, unfortunately, not getting it. I owe Jonny Fly. Your forgetting the man who missed you out in those woods. I was firing that gun, and I missed you. Your are alive today because of my mistake. So what did I do about it? I told Fly I'd make it up to him. You've been set-up, Chris. Plain and simple. Raygen takes it all in, and then stands up from his seat. Set-up, huh? You fucking weasel. But here's what I don't get. Why are you telling me this, and where's this set-up? It's just me and you, and only one of us has a weapon. With that Raygen pulls a handgun out of his jacket. He aims it at Kent. Kent laughs lightly, and wipes off his mouth. He looks toward the gun and proclaims.. You told Jonny Fly in those woods that he should of known better that to put his trust in someone he didn't know. Yourself. Now I'm going to tell you, you should of known I would get the best of you. Just a month ago I tried to kill you, yet, when I throw a couple million your way you forgot all about it. Your not a professional. You ain't shit. Consider those your last words, Kent. No, my last words are duck.. With that a gun goes off. Only, Kent Strong doesn't move. We now notice that the window behind Raygen is shattered. Chris slowly reaches his hand to his back. As he brings it to his face, it's seen to be covered in blood. Raygen falls to his knees, and then headfirst onto the ground. Kent, ever the actor, goes screaming out of the room. A man's been shot!! The scene cuts with several restaurant employees running into the room.. Fade Out Fade In The scene fades in, in an alley near the small tavern we were last at. A figure comes into view not far down the alley. Another figure is seen approaching him from the opposite direction. Sirens can be heard in the background. The two figures meet under a dimly lit lamp. There's enough light to tell clearly that one of the men is Kent Strong and the other is..Jonny Fly. The two being to talk. Kent Strong: I'm sure glad you have better aim than me. Jonny Fly: So am I. I'm glad this is over though. For once, maybe, I'll be able to sleep at night knowing that someone's not out to kill me. Or, try to kill me. No time for rest, Jonny. October Terror is in England in 3 days, and were still in California. Not to mention, your probably gonna need to make another television appearance. It seems people are either bashing our company, or you personally. Your good at the comebacks.. Ah, fuck all that. I'm tired as shit and really can care less what the UWA has to say about TNT or myself. 5 World Titles, and TNT's talent speaks for itself. But I'll give them the dialogue they want later. You have a flight booked? Of course. Tomorrow, direct flight into London. That's why I couldn't do this without you. How's your neck holding up? You still gonna be able to do both of these matches? I can't lose you to an injury, Jonny. This company depends upon your presence. Unfortunately, Stonehart, Rollin', Nicky, and Reed have not proved themselves outside of TNT. You have. If were going to "war" with UWA, your needed to "legitimatize" our name. One wrestler WILL make the difference. And you are.. Fly breaks in. ..The Equalizer. I know Kent. The neck is holding up, and it's going to continue holding up. It's one day at a time man. But believe me, I'm not gonna miss out on this. This a fuckin' fight if I've ever had one. They can cut my neck off, and I'll still be wiping the floor with Q-Ball. Alright then, let's get out of here. We'll find a place to say and get to England tomorrow. Oh, and thanks again for today. No man, thank you. I needed your help, and you were there for me. I'm in your debt, Kent. This meant a lot for me. I'll hold you to that!
