The Everlasting Mystery of Jonny Fly

"Who is Jonny Fly?"

Fade In

Filmed from an unknown source; aired on TNT Television.

A narrator speaks into a black screen.

Narrator:

Who is Jonny Fly?

A kid bred from the streets who now runs one of the biggest wrestling companies in the world? Well, yes, and no.

No, you see..

Jonny Fly is what we commonly refer to as, an animal. Ruthless, and I'm not talking about inside a wrestling ring. Fly is able to slide by with questionable work habits and sometimes, pure luck. A big name, but hardly a big target anymore.

Jonny Fly's past is as sketchy as any other celebrity in recent memory. This is a man who's criminal record would put Robert Downy Jr. in his place. What, have you forgotten? Or has it been overlooked? Yes, in fact it has, for too long.

Why is this man consistently sent out into the spotlight?

I can probably relate to over 100 murders, MURDERS, that can be directly contributed to everyone's little hero, "The Kid Wonder" Jonny Fly. Have we forgot about the liquor store Jonny Fly robbed during UWA Rampage, ending up coming back to cost Fly his first ever World Title Shot?

He spend five days in jail, and was gone. Then he went on to make a movie!

What about Fly's run in with childhood friend Ray Jenkings? An event that saw Fly shot in the shoulder, yes, but is that reason to go on a manhunt that saw Fly admittedly kill 10 random people before finally getting to Jenkings himself? Innocent people caught in an animals crosshairs.

Did Fly serve time? No, he reentered TNT Wrestling and was sitting on a World Title in two months. This is alone is a travesty. But were not even done with the half of it.

What about the girl that Fly met at a restaurant, impregnated, and then killed? The man is so low that he tried to explain that it was a tape, taken by TNT Television, from his latest movie. Where's the movie Fly? I never seen one come out. What about the girl? Don't try to tell me she's been in hiding for over a year?

She's dead. Murdered. And your still shrugging it off.

Class act, my friend.

What about the exploits of Fly and former TNT Commissioner Gravedigger? Was that not a joke to all that's right? Did those two not harbor weapons, any and all that can be imagined, in Fly's basement? Did they not BOMB a New York Police Station? Who know's how many lives were lost there. That's terrorism my friend. Those two, together, are downright dangerous to everyone in their path.

Yet, this man is the symbol of American Wrestling.

A fuckin' terrorist!

And will we ever forget the drama that kept us fixed to TNT Television for three straight months? You know I'm referring to! The infamous "Ridder's Cash Loans" scandal. Countless murders by both sides who refused to simply suck in their pride and smooth over a situation that was easily avoidable. A scandal that brought on the death of Fly's father, and wrestling Hall of Famer, The Blak Baron.

Fly killed his own father.

That's right. Let's not sugarcoat it. That's the cold..hard..truth. Fly was warned countless times about the danger he was putting his friends and family in. But did he give in? You can legitimately make a case that Fly didn't care what happened to anyone except for himself. Fly was told the consequences of what he was doing, but refused to pay up what would amount to pocket change for a wrestler who was always at the top of the payroll.

Pocket change.

Let that sink in. Think about it. Then ask yourself this. Would YOU give up pocket change to save your father's life? Of course you would. In fact, most of you would give up ALL of your money to save ANY family members life. I guess nobody ever taught street bred Jonny the importance of morals. What's right and what's wrong. What you should do, and what your shouldn't.

Well let me help out.

I have taken it upon myself to rid the world of Jonny Fly. As I had tried to do earlier.

What? Confused? Allow me to clarify..

The black screen from the camera is removed. The black is replaced by the shape and color of a human face. A face recognizable to all who have followed the career of Jonny Fly. The face of Tom Stevens. The Ridder Cash Loan Hitmen. He continues to talk.

Who is Jonny Fly?

For three months Fly and myself played a chess game against each other. I struck, he countered, he struck, I countered.

The games are over.

Well, at least until this message is over.

Wrestling Fans are idiots. You cheer for those who your told to cheer for no matter what. You cheer a murder. You cheer a man who killed his father. You cheer him for refusing to pay me! You cheer a terrorist, dammit!

THAT'S JONNY FLY!

I for one, won't be cheering. I know what's wrong and right. What Jonny Fly has done is wrong. But nobody stands up to him. Not his peers, not his agent, not his family, not the law. Fly lived a care free life until we came along. Jonny Fly killed at will without even a slap on his fucking wrist.

I'm back. And I'm ready to do some slapping.

Allow me to present to everyone an interview I set up featuring Jonny Fly right before the famed showdown in that New York alley. Fly is interviewed by Jake Cobbs. An alias  of Mr. Ridder's nephew. This is an old fashioned set up.

Watch and learn Wrestling Fans..

The scene fades backstage at a Sunday Night Mayhem in January. We are in Jonny Fly's locker room. Fly and the reporter, Cobbs, are sitting down across from each other. Sound begins to come in..

Jonny Fly:

That's not really important to me. I'm my own person. I think people like me, because they don't know me. It's the myth, the mystery, that surrounds me. When a returning wrestler would come back to UWA the first week they wouldn't pay any attention to me. But they'd always hear about me from other people, from their peers. Guys who they knew in their first go round.

Little by little, my name stuck to them. They came to recognize me as a force that would not be going away any time soon. And it was the mystery. The 19 year old kid who came out of nowhere challenging the brink of perfection every time he stepped into the ring. That tends to garner people's attention. That tends to command respect, all the while, raising more questions. I just never answered the questions.

Jake Cobbs:

Do you intend to?

No. Not at all. The only people who need to know me is me. The more questions left to answer, the more the legend grows. I have left an undeniable mark on the Wrestling World in more ways than just my unchallenged abilities in the ring.

Do you mean as in you exploits out of the ring?

No, do you not listen? My legend! Nobody knows "who" Jonny Fly is. People will be looking back in ten years and still be asking it.

But of course people will remember your troubles with Ridder's Cash Loans, right?

Haha. No, no they won't. The good thing about being me, is the power that comes with it. The power to do what you please. I'll make people forget about Ridder. I'll take care of them, and then it will all become history.

How do you plan on doing that?

It's easy to shift the attention of wrestling fans. They go with the "fads." All I have to do is find something different to do. I can put myself into a huge feud and sooner or later all they'll think about is that instead of what happened a couple months ago. The fans are in my pocket. Don't worry about that.

Are you worried about the safety of your family?

Why would I be worried?

Well, just from some of the things the men from Ridder's told you.

Let me ask you this, do you worry about empty threats? Those people are full of shit over there. They demand this, they demand that, and threaten him and her, fuck that. I'm done listening, and I've told them that. My family has nothing to worry about. I have nothing to worry about. This will all blow over eventually..

The tape cuts out. We go back to Tom.

I'll spare Mr. Fly the rest of that tape. I believe, however, my point is made.

It's judgment time again, Jonny.

This time..you better be worried. Were not coming after family, were not making idle threats, or any of that. This time it's on you. Here are the rules. You leave the public eye for good. That means quit wrestling, quit your post as CEO of TNT Wrestling. Quit, flee, run.

Or face the steel once again.

Game on..
