Right Hand Rollin'?

Fade In

The scene fades in, in a restaurant in New York City. We scan to a table at the south end of the building. A small booth is hidden in the corner. We walk over to it. Sitting at the booth is The Dynasty, TNT CEO Jonny Fly, and TNT double champion, Mark Vincent. We fade in on the scene to hear the conversation going on between the two good friends..

Jonny Fly:

So, how ya feeling?

Mark Vincent:

I'm bummed man. I had planned on doing that match. But I'm afraid I'd go into it at 50 percent or whatever, and be buried early. I can't risk my reputation. If I'm gonna lose a match, I'm going to have to be beaten at 100 percent.

Which hasn't been done yet.

Yep. Still undefeated.

There's a pause in the conversation. Vincent picks it back up with a question..

So why are we here anyway?

I have a meeting.

Then tell me why he's here..

Mark Vincent points to the figure of Rollin' Thunder walking into the restaurant. Jonny Fly get's to his feet and waves Thunder over..Vincent looks on shocked..

He's who I'm meeting with!

Are you kidding me?

Rollin' Thunder walks over to the table. Fly offers him a seat. Thunder sits down and stares directly at Fly, as if wondering why's he's here himself..

Rollin' Thunder:

Alright Fly, what is it?

I have a proposition for you.

You? Okay, I'll play the game, what is it?

As you seen last night, I'm now running TNT. But as you also know, I'm running it alone. I'd like for that to change. I need someone to help me out here and there. I'm offering that position to you..

Wait..what?

Are you serious?

Jonny looks over at Mark who's mouth is agape at the announcement. Fly gives him an assuring look and then continues.

I'm serious. A staff position is yours if you want it. We'll put you under the label of "Vice President." My old position. I'll be able to terminate it under any circumstances, and you will be working UNDER me. I know that may be a problem, so I want to clear that up now. I reported to Marcel, and you'll report to me.

What's the scam? You hate me, why are you doing this? Why not Mark, or your boy Kent?

Why not you? You hate me because I've always been one up on ya. Now this is business, this isn't in the ring. I can see past it, and I'm sure for this opportunity, you will as well.

Okay. Sign me up.

Fly cracks a smile as Mark rolls his eyes and lets out a heavy sigh.

Good. I'm glad you've come to terms. Report to me at the beginning of the show on Sunday, and I'll give ya your assignments. You'll be able to wrestle of course, and I'll oversee that you don't pull the strings to give yourself beneficial matches.

Well, of course. What are these assignments?

Just things that are going to need to be done throughout the show. Nothing major, not really time consuming things. You'll be able to keep your options open.

That sounds fine.

Both men get to their feet. Fly shakes Rollin's hand.

Good luck on Sunday as well.

Thank you.

With that, Thunder turns, and walks toward the door of the restaurant. He leaves. Fly sits back down and looks over at Mark.

Well, you going to explain what the hell that was?

Eliminating enemies. Same thing with Alexi yesterday. Both are good wrestlers and deserve what they get. But if I get them on the same page as myself, then I'll be able to make my life a lot easier.

And if he pulls a "Dynasty" on us and try's to undermine you?

Well, I don't know. I don't think he'll do it, but if he does, that gives me reason to get rid of him anyway. So either way, I'll keep him under control.

Same with Alexi?

Well, no. But everyone knows Alexi deserves what I'm giving him. He's a good wrestler. He tried to play himself off as something better than me, but, that's the way it goes.

Yea, maybe, but they'll be pissed about you bringing in someone from UWA and giving them such a good match.

Who's gonna be pissed? Krisus? Ha! Do you realize how many chances we gave HIM to win the World Title. He doesn't have a leg to stand on. It's all good when it's him, but someone else? "That shouldn't happen!"

What about people who were in line?

Who was in line? Rollin,' Jimmy, and yourself. Mills and Cundiff, sure. But Mills has been in and out, legal trouble and so on. Cundiff can't wrestle right now. Either way, I wouldn't want to get in the middle of that! Rollin' is in, Jimmy isn't active anymore, and your hurt. Draconis replaces Jimmy, and I go out and bring in one of the best competitors EVER to fill your spot.

It's ratings my friend. It's creating competition. X-Kalibur brings that. When the opportunity was there, I wasn't about to walk away from it. You have to give to get. To get him, I had to give him something. Simple as that.

I don't know man. But you do what you gotta do. I'm behind you all the way. If you want Rollin' as your right hand man, then so be it. But if he becomes..well..himself..I told you so.

I know man. I know.

Alrighty. Let's go, I got a doctors appointment.

Fly and Vincent get up from their seats. Fly sets down some money on the table for their waiter and then begins to walk toward the door. Mark Vincent follows him out.
