What Exactly is the Northlight Window?
The Northlight is acrylic or true glass block preconstucted window ready to install in the same easy straightfoward manner as any other window. There is an electival lead that exits the fame of the window that must be wired to a source of power.
How can the Northlight be used?
the possibilities are virtually endless. Glass block is commonly used in bathroom accents. However they can be used as:

- Small designed peek thrus
- Floor to ceiling partitions

What sizes does the Northlight come in?
The northlight comes in sizes from 6"x 6" to 8' x 5'. It is also possible to mull windows together to create windows of dimensions greater than 8' x 5' or shapes different than conventional rectangles.
What colors are available with the northlight?
The acrylic or true glass blocks are available in clear, green, blue, and red. The light source is available in incadesent, blue,green, and yellow
How long does the northlight's illumination last?
If illuminated an average of 3 hours per day the light source will last 18 years before ir has to be changed. The northlight is also designed for easy lightsource replacement

The Northlight is guaranteed against all defects in material and workmanship for a period of five years from the date of purchase. Northlight is a registered trademark of Amethys Window Company.
I'am not very handy. Should I get help installing the window?
qualified contractor should be able to handle the installation in relative short order. An electrician may be necessary to make the electrical hookups but it would be on the order of changing a light fixture.
What is the light source and how long will it last?
Northlight windows have several sources of light. Rope lite, neon and fiber optic. Each source has different lifespans which range from 20,000 hours to 80,000 hours. In any case the window is designed to facilitate an easy change out of the light source when needed.
