The National Space Society (NSS) is a non-profit educational organization, headquartered in Washington, D.C., dedicated to furthering the exploration and development of space.

Members receive the quarterly magazine, Ad Astra, discounts on annual conferences, invitations to special events, an online newsletter, a network of other space enthusiasts, and the knowledge that they are helping to open the space frontier.

If you join the NSS through the Clear Lake Area (CLA) chapter, you gain the additional benefit of participating in local projects and events (such as movie screenings). The chapter receives a rebate from the National office for first-time recruits, so your membership also helps fund chapter educational projects. We maintain a local email list that is used for announcements only. If you want to be notified of space-related events in Houston, send a note to the webmaster.
