KING LEAR IN THIS AUTHOR'S ALTERNATE DIMENSION
A "what if" scenario involving a "seeing" Lear - that is, no longer obscured by pride - this Lear is enlightened to begin with.  He is searching for an honest servant with the decency to espouse truth rather than the glorious hot air of his so-called daughters.  Please note that this is not a pastiche in the true sense of the term, but it is, however, an attempt to mimic Shakespeare's most revered style.

(Context : Act I)

Fools!
Go Ye Back to Your Caves!
And Find Me Yet a Capable Slave.
I want not the imbecile who will sing me praise,
but the worthy who, in calamity, will most humbly describe my face!
Draw your swords, stand ye near
As part of this kingdom
You all are mine eyes and ears.

O maniacal man!  O conniving cur!  O misfigured mask!
Tell me, art thou or I the true ass?
Fie.  O Fie.
Three Daughters have I, and yet I fear my wisdom's end is nigh
If ye finds me not a competent underling,
With unadorned pity I fear I waste all that is my thundering.
