RAT Tulip Rallye 1998

The first RAT rallye in the Netherlands took place 1-3 may
at Greenib's in Warmond.
I passed the Saturday there.
get the point: a lotta talk 'bout Triumphs.
Riders Association Triumph
Triumph offered a whole fleet of
demos and I very much enjoyed
the T595, thank you!
Really rode the T595, this picture is a fake! Super acceleration, lovely 130 hp... wow!

Steers like nothing I've experienced before. A little less rain would have been nice, though.

Great experience to drive at most illegal speed, escorted by policemen.

Unfortunately a bad replacement for the Trident: every T500 rider said so: it's no fun for the pillion!

Free tours along the Dutch Tulips, RAC Triumps and lots of T595 ...and the pillion is still much appreciated!

Some RAC assitance Triumphs were there too. The boys came from UK through some heavy rain!

Lots of T595s visiting the saturday. Yellow is still the most-loved colour!

I even finished the riderskill parcours and managed to win an extra price, recieved from Desirée.
I recieved the green Triple Connection Backpack on 19 june from Desirée (pictured) and Hans at Greenib's
(Okay, okay only 4 Triumphisti dared to take the challenge.)
Further activities like a mystery tour,
the Triumph display-truck,
souvenir-stands,
partytent with music,
and a carting-circuit...

Mobil around the world challenge
Nick Sanders riding through Bangkok

... so... it was lotsafun, many thanks to the RAT organisation.

Finally enjoyed the film The fastest man around the world. Nick Sanders' adventure on a Daytona 900.

Great day, bad weather and a too little a number of participants. Well, maybe next year...?
