"BLOWN AWAYBy the CHS Wind Ensemble"

Clayton High
School's wind ensemble performed magnificently in concert Tuesday
evening, May 18, 2004, in the Wood Auditorium in Clayton. The theme of
the evening's music was, "Pirates of the Caribbean". Students of
Clayton High School's Art Department had their "Spring Art Show" in
conjunction with the concert.
If you missed this musical performance and art showing, you missed an
opportunity to hear and see some truly fabulous work by Clayton's high
school students. A wonderful evening of entertainment was enjoyed by
all who attended.
Not only do Clayton's high school students need to be commended:
Clayton High School Band Director Jerry Phillips and Art Instructor
Nils Wikner should be highly commended for bringing these year-long
projects to a superb culmination.
Union County Commissioner Richard Arguello also deserves mention for
being a great "Master of Ceremonies" for the evening. Arguello brought
the whole thing together for a full auditorium of family, friends and
fellow students of the young musicians and artists being honored that
night.
