Last night,
in the glow of night stars,
I felt for the first time in months......
a sense of peace.
A feeling of wonder overcame me
and I looked around to see if you were there.
Later,
I thought to myself..."Why did I need to look?"
I know,
as surely as I know how to breathe,
that you are with me always.
You are closer to me now
than ever before
and the only difference
is, instead of opening my eyes to see you,
now I must open my heart.
