| Notice that the crest on the handle of the Katana is the same as on the Wakizashi/Tanto. Same symbol but 175 years apart. |
| The crest on the Wakizashi/Tanto (I've heard it referred to as both, although they are not the same type of blade) is identical to the katana, except there are 7 of them grouped together to make a circle type pattern. |
