HOME

We are now in a busy period of swimming with one more B.S.A. meet left on 1-2 March to finalize this season’s premiership points. Clayfield Aquatics is narrowly leading the Division 2 Premiership by just two points from Grace. There are still many Primary and Secondary Schools events during the next month, and our first Club Championships are to be held on March 19 and 26.

With so many our Crocs trying to perform at their personal best - Good Luck.

PARENTS AND SWIMMERS PLEASE NOTE

Due to the Clayfield College Junior School Interhouse Swimming Carnival to be held on Thursday 27th February, all Learn-to-Swim and Squad Training will be cancelled on this day.

5 TIPS FROM THE COACHING STAFF

1.Thou shall train fast before swimming fast.
2. 15 minutes of STRETCHING before and after training will prevent shoulder problems before they become apparant.
3. Commitment and time on technique is very important – 98% right is 100% wrong.
4. Brain switch – the switch you turn on when not feeling well/tired. Every swimmer has been to a swim meet and not felt well. Take advantage of this and turn it around. Swim a personal best “not well/tired swim”. Better still train with “technique” not times.
5. Be supportive of all squad members (congratulate them on personal bests, great training swims and non-swim related issues).
