I Arrived Alive - If Your Drunk, You're Not Hip, So Get Off The Ship in 2007 -
Once again, S.A.D.D. set up a table at the Grand March for students to participate in the "Arrive Alive" project during prom.  Those that volunteered a breath in the breathalyzer will receive a free t-shirt that reads "I Arrived Alive".  Last year, 131 prom goers participated in the campaign (that was 70% of all Prom attendees).  This year, we blew our goal out of the water and got 90% participation at prom.

This year, our project carried over to the After Prom party.  Again, those that volunteered a breath in the breathalyzer got a chance to win a $300.00 gift certificate to Best Buy.  We had 85% participation at After Prom.

This project rewards those that make good decisions, and it also helps to show the community that it is the social norm NOT to drink alcohol on Prom night.  The t-shirts are funded through a grant from the
Department of Highway Safety.  Thank you Roy Meyer and team for partnering with us.

It is the mission of S.A.D.D. to be an inclusive, not an exclusive, organization that aims to prevent and provide intervention tools to help students to deal with issues of destructive decisions, such as underage drinking, drug usage, violent behavior, etc.  S.A.D.D. seeks not to punish or alienate those students who make unfortunate decisions, but rather aims to inform, educate, support, and empower young people to make positive decisions.
