| Writers Night - Saturday September 14, 2002 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Every night, writers, both aspiring and well known, gather at The Hall of Fame Lounge on Division Street in Nashville to share their original songs with the audience. Usually performances are offered "in the round" where four or five songwriters get on stage and take turns singing and playing. Each evening one songwriter performs by themselves as the "feature" songwriter. Although Clay does not do many songwriter nights, last night he was the feature songwriter at The Hall of Fame. Following are a few pics of the evening. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Host Lee Rascone at the mixing board. Lee not only hosts the Friday and Saturday writers nights, but is a writer and performer in his own right. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| One of the things Clay enjoys the most about The Hall of Fame is running into old friends. Here he is with writer Tom Fedora. Although Tom was not performing on this particular evening, he can be found on stage at The Hall regularly. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Don Wayne was the host of the round after Clay played. Don is best known as the writer of the song SAGINAW MICHIGAN. It was a real treat to hear him perform this one! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Don Wayne's round included two good friends of Clay's - Janie Street (far left) and Lee Rascone. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Although the spotlight is on Don Wayne in this picture, he is paying close attention to singer-songwriter Janie Street. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
