Part I - Chapter 9
Jade Elves attack Dwarves and enslave their settlers
Jade Elves is a surprise move launched an attack on a Dwarven army investigating the Ruins of the fallen city of Thurkor.  Not only that, but nearly all of the fleeing inhabitants of the former city has fallen into the hands of the Jade elves and has been enslaved.  Needless to say, the Dwarves do not appear to be pleased by this turn of events.

Stygian attacked by Devout
A large Stygian army was attacked by an even larger Devout army of Risen as they passed through Devout lands.  The battle lasted through the entire day with no obvious victor as they fought each other to a near standstill.  Finally the exhausted commanders withdrew their surviving troops in an uneasy truce.  Nearly 2000 where left dead on the field with slightly more than half of them being Stygian.

Blackblood fight Greater stygian nearly to the end
The new city of Perge was the site of a bloody battle between Blackblood and the Greater Stygian.  Hordes of reptilian forces poured out of the desert onto the hapless city, but a strong Blackblood army stood their ground and fought nearly to the last man.  In the end, when the battle was obviously lost, only a few Blackblood managed to escape from the field.  Total casualties from the battle climbed well over 3000 47% of which where Stygian and 53% where Blackblood.  Perge now stands alone against the forces of the Greater Stygian Empire.

Blackblood stumble on Devout Army

The Blackblood gave chase to retreating Devout armies when another army of Devout materialize in front of them out of nowhere.  The force was not overly large, and fought a delaying action waiting for night to fall and allow their forces to retreat in the night.  The startled Blackblood turned and quickly attacked the force trying to destroy them and capture their commander, for it soon became obvious that Alexix Maximus himself lead this army.  The battle was short thought as night fell too soon for the Blackblood to rout the Devout.  Casualties where light on both sides.

Armies of the Dead have arisen
Two Cairns have spewed forth Armies of the Dead!  Both armies are large and are threatening nearby cities destroying all in their path.  The first empires to feel their wrath appear to be the Devout and Blackblood empires.
