The Blackblood engineer’s countless hours of hard work have finally paid off. Their goal to create a weapon of mass destruction has culminated in the creation of a Blackblood Catapult. The Catapult essentially launches a huge giant sized firebomb, which can explode spreading flaming fuel on all those unlucky enough to be close to the point of impact. The Blackblood Alchemists painstakingly create the ammunition fired by the catapult, which is much like their prized firebombs, and have instructed catapult crews in there use and care. Unfortunately, due to operator error, accidents sometimes happen. The intent is for the ammunition is to catch fire and explode as it strikes its target engulfing the target in flames, but sometimes the mixture has a premature reaction and explodes as it’s fired. A crew of Orcs mans the Catapult.

Special Rules: Catapult has a missile immunity of 15
Equipment: Crew and Leader – Falchion
Blackblood Catapult
Uses general Catapult rules except where changed in the description. When firing the catapult roll to hit as normal. A fumble (roll of 20) indicates that the ammunition has exploded on the catapult (no roll needed to check for explosion). Center the template on the catapult and calculate wounds normally. A perfect roll of a 1 indicates that the launch was perfect and hit the target and exploded (even if out of LOS), center the template on the target. If the roll is a miss, the shot scatters normally and roll to see if mixture explodes. If it’s a hit, then center the template over the target and roll to determine if the mixture explodes. If mixture does not explode, it does a single damage 6 hit. The Catapult ammunition explodes on a roll of 13 or below. If the missile explodes, all models touched by the template are knocked down and pushed to the outside edge of the template. Fallen models must spend their next available action standing up. Wait markers are removed. As well, the models touched by the template must save against fire (Dam 12) or take 1 wound. Models with more than one wound must continue to save until successful for each remaining wound. At the beginning of each subsequent turn the fire has a 50% chance of burning out. The fire (represented by the template) blocks LOS in the height band that it is located in. Fire damage is not reduced due to cover as in normal catapults. Uses the 2 1/2” template.
