The following is the original welcome greeting. Things have changed since I set out to create this website about me and my crush on Clay Aiken. My "crush" on Clay Aiken is not as much a crush as it is simply just an admiration. The ga-ga craze has subsided and so I feel it was time for a new welcome page. This one below is the original.
Welcome      So who is this "Clayboy" anyway? Well that's me! Well alright, why not have a "party" and invite all my fellow Clay Aiken fans from all over cyberspace? Yeah, like a get-together! Afterall, people on the C.A. forum I have been visitingon may want to know more about others who come to the forum. I've always wanted to do something like this back when I had that big ol' crush on Tom Howell back in the early 80's! I remember trying to get my classifieds into those silly teen-mags but never could but I did get some pen-pals going and we exchanged pics in the mail. I wanted Tommy Howell pics I could not find and they wanted...oh Rick Springfield, John Stamos and so on. That was alot of fun but sort of limited. What I could not do back in those days, I totally can do, and even more. Heck, were those Tom Howell days even in this lifetime? Was there life before the internet? Oh of course there was but the internet has changed things so much that life before it and now, is like...night and day.! Great idea!!!! It's on!!!!        Hello To whoever you are, and welcome to my place on the World Wide Web. I am Clayboy a Clay Aiken fan in love with, guess who. For those of you visiting from my link on the Official Clay Aiken website's forum I am glad to have you here. I hope you will stay awhile, have some coffee, some cookies or whatever. Make yourself at home and hang out with me.        OK, so I am a boy who is in love with Clay Aiken but, I do not want to make just another Clay Aiken website, or even a "gay" one at that (that is too predictable)!!! While yes I express my feelings here, I also want to share a deeper side to them, one that I hope will live on after all the glibbiness has gone away. There is more to me than just being infatuated with Clay and this website is a great way to let my fellow "Claymates" meet the real Clayboy. I am not unique in my feelings toward Clay, I cannot believe that I am the only boy in love with Clay. Heck, after Independent concert I ran into someone else who had a gone to the show at a the local gay bar's Karaoke night. Then there was someone who said that Clay probally has more boy fans than girls -- Dream on! Nonetheless, I am not the only boy in love with this runaway A.I. prince! So again, a perfect oppurtunity to establish a presence in cyberspace        So what will you find here? Basically it's a web page about a Clay Aiken fan. It's about Clay as well, but not like a typical Clay Aiken site. More like about what Clay Aiken means to me, and not just my having a crush on him, either. Think of it as a party where fans of the same person, place or thing meet and hang out, or maybe like when sports fans get together to watch the game. I share about my adventurous night on 4/13/04 when Clay performed here in Denver. It was anything but just a concert. I was high and low, hot and cold, up and down, happy and sad and anything but plain ol' normal. Then there is the crazy "After Party" at Karaoke night at the local gay bar where the adventure continued on into something like a "beautiful disaster" of chaotic happiness and sadness all rolled into one. I will not soon forget. You can also read about my crush on Clay if you want. Ok, it's got it's share of glib and sentiment, but there is also my own musings about what the unpredictibility, and the mechanics of these wonderful nuisances called crushes that make like up, down, and all around. Then there is a bit about my wild and crazy Karaoke nights, especially now that I just cannot stop singin' those ol Clay Aiken tunes! On a more sober note, you will find an open letter to Clay Aiken's mother and a prayer request for Clay. Soon to come will be a picturial tour of the Mile High City of Denver (Later this summer) where you can see some the sites and also I can share about some issues going on here. Finally There is a page which takes it's title from a comment someone said the night following the concert at the karaoke night; "He's too precious to even think about sexually". This is one of the best things I have heard about Clay Aiken and on this page, I reflect on this comment and how I see Clay beyond the confounds of "Hot" and "Sexy".        It is this very comment that sets the premise of this site. This is not some lewd, knock-down, drag-out down & dirrty site. |                           |
