Strat Guide

The following is an example of way to format your strategy. While your strat does not necessarily have to follow this format, it needs to be clear and concise. You do not get "brownie points" for having long strats. They should be detailed but loose (in other words, don't write the match out or do a play-by-play of what your wrestler will do). Strats are due Wednesdays at midnight, Central Standard time.

  • Name of your wrestler (or tagteam):
  • Name of opponent:
  • Type of match:
  • Basic Tactics: (A few sentences of how you plan to win - in other words, your overall tactics, scheme, etc.)
  • What will you say during the match?: (Taunts, grandstanding, etc.)
  • Which moves are you going to use? (A list of moves your wrestler would use during the match. Please try to stay true to your character's fighting style. Please note it is possible not ever single move will be used during the match, or a move may be used you'd not listed. The writer reserves the write to substitute or omit certain tactics, depending on how the match is going. If there are any particular moves you greatly want your wrestler to use, denote them as such when listing them.)
  • Sneak Attacks: (As with the moves lists, not all sneak attacks will be used. Sometimes things occur that will prevent them. Also, just because you submit and execute a sneak attack does not mean the sneak attack will be successful. If you are going to use another player's character(s) in your sneak attack, you must first obtain their permission.
Sneak attacks should be used sparingly, and only if their will further an angle. Also, such a tactic must be true to your wrestler's leaning. A face who believes in upholding the rules probably wouldn't just rush in an assualt another wrestler with a chair for no reason - even if the other wrestler is a heel. If the administration feels you have not roleplayed enough, or at all, your sneak attack may never occur, or backfire on you.)
  • Do you want to humiliate your opponent (if you win)? And how?: (Humilition can be anything, and despite what many think, it is not necessarily sexual - in fact, in this league, it probably isn't. Humiliation could be talking down to a beaten opponent, dragging her around the ring after beating her, etc.)
  • How do you make your entrance?: (This is how you make your way to the ring. Best advise here is to write it as you want it to happen. That way the writer can just cut copy and paste it into the match.)
  • Do you want to make an interview before the match? Please write it down here: (Once again, as you want it to appear. You may be interviewed backstage, or come out first to the ring and hold the interview there. The bad thing with that option is your opponent may do the same, and it would seem odd with both of you standing in the ring doing a smack talk session next to each other, so backstage normally is the best route.)
  • Entrance music: (Your music will most likely be in your entrance, but list it here as well. This way the writer can make a quick reference to it. Remember, the music also plays if you win the match - most of the time.)

Make sure all strats are sent to [email protected]
