Kurotomesode
Kurotomesode means "black staying sleeve", and is a solid black kimono patterned only below the waistline, usually with crests. This is the most formal kimono for married women, often worn by the mothers of the bride and groom at a wedding.
Taisho era kurotomesode with bright felicitous motif mirrored at hem.
