10. 06. 04 Yep, it's Mike here again. That show at the "renton firehall" was never intended to be there; that was just a miscommunication. It is however at Logan's Ferry Firehall. Click here for directions, provided by Mr. Steven Marsh. So the High School Battle Of The Band's is definitely on November 5th. But demos are due on Oct. 15 so I'm not totally sure that our demo will be completed in time. We will do something to make sure that we are at least entered though. We're going to try and do all the drum parts tomorrow. We'll be selling tickets to the fire hall for 5$, and you can't get in unless you buy them in advance. That's all for now - Mike
11. 03. 04 Sorry, it's been a while since the last update. I've been busy with school and I've had computer problems. Plenty of things have been happening. I'll tell you the most important first. We ARE playing the Plum High School Battle of the bands this Friday. The show starts at 6. We're playing third I believe. Get there as soon as you can though, check out all of the other great local acts such as Insanitary Destruction, Strait Away, Special Guest, and Excalibur. All of them are good friends. Wingid and Resnic Fall are also playing. It should be a great show. Also all of the money benefits Make-A-Wish, so be sure to go. The day after that we'll be playing another Make-A-Wish show with Distance Is Darkness, and Jammin' With Charlie. Only Junior High kids can attend this one though. Both shows will be very fun. The show on the 14th is still going on, but Understanding Emerson has dropped for various reasons. Remember you cannot get in at the door without a ticket. Buy one off of us, or another band playing as soon as you can. After we play these shows, we will try to take another break for writing and recording. Then we will be playing a show December 4th, at the Rock Club. Details about this are very sketchy and I don't know who's playing, the time, etc. Special Guest is also playing. I'll give you more information later - - - Mike
11. 14. 04 Once again, it's been a while. Maybe sometime I'll stop being lazy and remember to update the site.... but don't count on anything. We took 3rd place in the Battle Of The Bands. Overall it went pretty good, despite the poor organization. Not one of our best peformances, but se were just happy to play. And like I said, we had a good time. Andrew cut his finger open yet again. Crowd MVP goes to Sean Tuite; this hardcore kid was thrown out for crowd surfing. His band, Insanitary Destruction got first place, by the way. Special Guest took 2nd (the prize money has yet to be given to them). So, the next night we had a good time playing that Junior High show. Even if the guidance counselor was being a jag off. They wouldn't let the Beaver in. Distance is Darkness, did a good job. So that's about it for that week. On a side note, I saw Punchline/Hawthorne Heights on Monday, TBS/Atreyu/Funeral For A Friend at IUP on Tuesday, and again on Friday at CMU (yes I did have to put that). Which brings us to today, our show at the Logan's Ferry Firehall. If it weren't for so many technical difficulties it would have been a great show. It still did go suprisingly well. We would like to thank Ron Armata for putting it together. So... anyways, my bass pedal broke again. No one had an extra to spare, so I kinda played on the left pedal... it was weird. It didn't work out so badly though. Andrew also broke a string... it took a while to replace that. Last, Dustin's voice didnt' crack... I have no clue what you are talking about... Just drop it now. That brings us to right now... I was packing up my stuff, and I realized my snare drum is missing. If you know anything about it let me, or someone that knows me know. I don't have money to replace it, and if it doesn't turn up then we will be pretty screwed. It's a Pacific snare, with an Evans head, and I love it... If it does turn up, we're going to be recording again in a couple weeks... who knows when that will be finished? Anyways, like I said before we have that show on the 4th with Special Guest and possibly some other bands. There's a show in December at Club Angels we might play. Also we're going to try and play some shows with Insanitary Destruction... possibly at Hard Rock Cafe. More information later - - - Mike
11. 16. 04 Good news, my snare drum has been found. Angry Swarm Of Deadly Bees's roadie packed my drum into their van by mistake. No problems... We have a busy weekend ahead of us. The Spongebob Movie is coming out this Friday, Emery/Boys Night Out are coming to town on Saturday, and the Club Angels battle of the bands is this Sunday. You should go watch Insanitary Destruction tear it up. I think we are going to begin (re)recording our EP sometime next week. At this point, I think it will have 5 of our songs, and 1 acoustic song. I can almost guarantee that it will be out before the year 2010. It all depends on The Beaver... sometimes he gets out of control. - Mike
11. 23. 04 Our show on Dec. 4 at the Rock Club is being moved to February of next year. I still don't know who all is playing. Other than that, I don't know when our next show will be. We'll just keep writing and practicing. Neither of which happen very often. That's about it. Everyone should listen to the Gym Class Heroes. They are awesome and Schleprock is one of the coolest people ever - BB
12. 25. 04 The site hasn't been updated for awhile because first of all not much has been happening, and second my computer committed suicide again. So, anyways, we have a show on Jan. 7 with A Fall From Grace at good old Angels. Cover is probably 6$ and show starts at 7. Insanitary Destruction also has a show that night, at Mr. Smalls, so try to make it to one of them. I put up a new picture of Kevin in band info, and everyone should check that out, cause he is one good lookin' kid. I mean on a scale of 1-27, I'd probably give him a 28. Let's see... we've been trying to write a lot and we should a new song for the seventh, but I really have no idea. We decided to put off recording til March so we can get some new songs, I really have no idea when that'll be ready. So anyways, it's Christmas and mother just made some cookies so I'm out. Damn these cookies are really terrific. - Happy Holidays from BB
12. 30. 04. So... this is a really good show and you should go. If you go then you should tell me and drive me. As you may have read on the band info page, this is probably the best ever (in my opinion). So.... we're still working on pulling the song from our asses that we will be playing on the 7th. It should be a decent show. A Fall From Grace seems to be doing really good on purevolume, so check them out. They made it into the top ten unsigned artists list as I hear it. Andrew's afro is pretty big, and he thought baby Jesus's name was Bryan. He also likes bagels.... a lot. I like some bagels, but mainly just the ones from Panera. The cinnamon crunch bagels are nearly orgasmic. Queefy tends to disagree, I tend to think Queefy is a whore. We're all over Dustin's except for Kevin who's busy with the Vampire, doing God knows what, I'll post a picture later. Anyways... I read on the JWC site that they are pissed off at us for this and responded with this. I don't feel like responding a second time because Dustin and Matt did a little of that on their own. Read that here. So... that's about it. It was all written by someone(Dan Styslinger) that haven't seen us in over a year, if I'm not mistaken. I think Jeff Hess is a pretty ridiculous kid, and we all know he wears his Coheed shirt near everyday of the week. If you actually have a question e-mail us (me), and I'll tell you what's what. So... Matt has a new pair jeans. He's pretty proud of them, and I think they are looking pretty good. - Andrew Weitz (and by Andrew Weitz, I mean Mike)
1. 08. 05 Our show went very well last night, thanks to anyone that came. Me Just Being Me is a good band and you should check them out on Purevolume if you can. I hear that Insanitary Destruction did well too. I think we are going to play a show at Hard Rock Cafe with them sometime. umm.... still trying to get some new songs. Another possible show is at the Logan's Ferry Fire all with Riot For Rio... more information about that later. Kevin's other band is playing a show at Angels on the 28th. You should check it out, especially if you like more acoustic type stuff. Like I said before... we're still working on new material and hopefully we'll get some shows at different places soon. That's about it. - Mike
