| Breetai is unmistakable with half his skull covered with a metal plate and a green crystal where his right eye once was. This plate is a result of injuries he suffered during the attack against Zor, as a result of this attack Zor sent his Battlefortress with the secrets of Protoculture within, out into the universe. As a result Dolza orders Breetai and his fleet to search for it and bring it back so that the Zentraedi may use the information to overthrow the Robotech Masters, who have made war slaves out of the Zentraedi. After many years of searching Breetai and his fleet locate the Fortress and fold close to it's location, which happens to be Earth, a planet inhabaited by a strange race. Breetai assumes that getting the Battlefortress back will be easy, even after its main gun sends out a volley of fire that shoots two of his crusiers straight through! Which Breetai bushes off as a lucky shot, but when the Zentraedi attack the strange race puts up an amazing struggle and seem to have uncovered some of the secrets of Protoculture! Eventually, the race sense they are outnumbered and perform a space fold in atmospheric conditions, a feat that should be impossible, but amazingly succeeds. The ship is safe, but not for long as Breetai and his fleet follow it to the outer reaches of the Milky Way and attempt to capture it. However, it is easier said then done as no matter how hard the Zentraedi try it seems the only way they can defeat them is to destroy them. Breetai is not willing nor able to do that, it being against Dolza's orders, but he DOES call up Commander Khyron of the 7th Botoru Battlion to help, which turns out to be quite a mistake. Finally Breetai decides to try a tatic the Zentraedi have never tried before, they take three Micronian's hostage, a risky business that almost results in Breetai been sucked out of his ship into space! Breetai and his fleet take them to Dolza so that they can be interrogated, during which time the strangeness of the Micronian race is further revealed. Not only to males and females mix, they also create their own life and 'kiss'! A move that terrifies both Breetai and Dolza. Dolza decides that Breetai is not suitable for the mission and puts Azonia in charge instead, a great blow the the Commander's ego. However, Breetai is soon reinstated to leading the Battlefortress Capture and is sent back with a million ships and orders to now destroy the fortress. Things have changed in the fleet however with the return of the three Zentraedi spies who have become enamoured of Micronian culture and eventually lead a large group of micronised Zentraedi to the Fortress. The strange effects of Micronian culture eventually lead Breetai to accept a suggestion from the Micronian Captain to Peace Talks, just in time, as it turns out Dolza is planning to destroy the Fortress and all Zentraedi involved in the mission. Breetai and Azonia team up with the Micronians and succeed in destroying Dolza and the main Zentraedi Fleet, at the cost of much of the population of Earth, whom Dolza's fleet attacks. Over the next two years the Zentraedi's (many of whom are micronised) and humans try to rebuild the earth and live together in peace. However, thanks to Zentraedi like Khyron this doesn't come easy. Breetai remains Giant-sized, but becomes more comfortable with the Micronian way of life, even going so far as to factor a 'kiss' into the attack plan to get back the Zentraedi Factory Satillite, which was under the control of the last remaining Zentraedi of Dolza's Fleet. We last see Breetai on the Factory Satillite overseeing the Zentraedi attempt to get it up and running and producing mecha. |
