The Stadhuys
The Town Hall is the oldest Dutch building in South-east Asia; believed to have been completed in 1650. The Stadhuys was originally the residence of the Dutch Governors. One room still has the orriginal wooden floral ceiling of the 17th century.
Christ Church
Bulit by the Dutch Protestants in 1753, Christ Church is a well preserved example of Dutch architecture of that period. The ceiling beams were each cut from a single tree and have no joints. The handmade pews are the originals dating back over 200 years. The bible rest dates back to 1773.
Dutch Square
Malacca's 'Red Square' is so called because its buildings are painted red. It is also known as Malacca's Dutch Square because of the old Dutch buildings there.
