What we find interesting is that Petrus Johannes de Wit and Jacobina Elizabeth had a forth child named Philip de Wit that was also born in March 1827. We find that it was quite likely that the initials and surname of the father was wrongly spelled and in fact Philip de Wit Philippus Johannus De Wett is one and the same person. However, without evidence there is still no proof.
