Graphics whores suck!
Okay, so it's a normal day on the Star Ocean 3 gamefaqs board, right? WRONG! Well, actually it's pretty normal for gamefaqs...anyway, some guy called "Onion" walks onto the board, posting a topic about how he's now interested in SO3 and how he wants info on the game and what it's like. SO3 wasn't out at the time, so no one really knew. He also said that he was interested in SO2 awhile back but forgot to get it. We said that if he was that interested, he should try SO2. I mean, SO3 wasn't coming out for over a year. What does he do? He starts giving excuses. Everyday he would give an excuse, each one ridiculous.

One of his first excuses was "
I don't have enough money." Well, SO2 is a 3+ year old game for PSX. It would be no more than $25-30, new. If he didn't have the money for SO2, where on earth would he get the money for SO3, which would cost nearly twice as much?

Another excuse he pulled off was "
I don't have the time." You don't have the time to play little ole SO2 in the time span of a YEAR before SO3 is released, but by the end of that time span you'd suddenly have the time for SO3 (which is reported to be THRICE as long as SO2)?

Then he finally stopped with the goose chasing and let it out. "
I can't stomach 32-bit graphics anymore," and keeps going on about not knowing why he can't play anything that's not on a next generation console. He got me riled up; I absolutely cannot stand it when someone deprives themself of good game over something stupid like that. Then, probably as a form of apology for being a graphics whore, he posts a topic reporting OLD SO3 news. Haven't seen him since then.
I'm not even going to go into this crap any further. What could turn a gamer against a game he/she was interested in so easily? Graphics, which is why graphics whores suck.
'I like to think of videogames as interactive books!!1'
To all you people out there thinking like that - just WTF did you inhale to mess up your thought process that badly? Once again, I have another rant related to gamefaqs. It seems that people have been turning down good games because they aren't enough of a book for them. When told that SO3 focused more on it's gameplay, someone actually made a disgusted sound. Have these huff bitches forgotten that video games are meant to be PLAYED and not watched for hours? Isn't that why people complain about Xenosaga?

If you can turn down a game because it offers good gameplay (the biggest deal of any video game) over a long, dragged out story (regardless of if it's good or not), then you have mental issues you need to work out. Where were you back in the day when Mario stomped on evil brown mushrooms?
It seems more like these people introduced to gaming in this and last generation are the ones that pull these stunts. You want an interactive book with a long immersive story? Too bad, you've got a video game. If it bothers you that much that you have to PLAY the game for a story, then I don't know why you bothered to touch a video game in the first place. Get outside and read a good book because that's the only way you're intoxicated ass will get what you want.
Fanfiction.net sucks - and here's why...
My latest rant is not here to complain about all the bad author's out there that are so "evil" and "vile" for having the chance to get their fanfiction up on FF.net. I'm not here to complain about how bad author's get praised and good author's get flamed. No, if you want to read those kinds of rants, all you have to do is type "fanfiction.net sucks" into a search engine like google. No, I'm serious. You'll come across plenty of rants on that subject.

What I'm here to rant about is how FF.net deleted my first Kirby story. Why? Because apparently script-based stories are against the rules. Who would have known, with so many of them floating around there? I honestly thought this place was called FANFICTION.net This is suppose to be a place where writer's can write to their heart's content - not the admin's heart's content. My story gets rejected and removed for being script-based, not to mention that it threatened to ban me for my wicked violation. Yeah, I wrote a script-based story that's been on FF.net for over 2 years. How very wicked and evil of me. I should be banned!
