-Desolation-

I walked all by myself,
On this barren Earth.
I looked all around,
Trying to find something of worth.

I walked to the forests,
Of standing stone.
Only to discover,
That I was all alone.

I looked into the caves,
And the dark abyss.
Looking all around,
For a bit of bliss.

I trudged through the sands,
Of endless deserts.
But the only things there,
Were more pains and more hurts.

I dared the dark waters,
Of the bottomless seas.
Only to find loneliness,
And even more miseries.

I blistered my feet,
Across the plains of yesterday.
Only to be reminded of the past,
And turn and hobble away.

All over this Earth,
I looked and I sought.
But in the end I found nothing,
It was all for naught.
