There once was a sweet lady from SC
Who stayed up way too late for me
Even if I tried to convince her she needs bed
I could yell till my face turned red
Stubbornness was one of her pesky ways
But that's only cuz she worked some days
So at night was only time she could chat
And being with her friends is where she was at
So here's a yawner to help make her tired
Before she starts thinking that it was conspired
Sleep now sis before I have to use a broom
and paddle your behind all the way to your room
But knowing her, she'll stay till she's weary
Because every day she makes people cheery
A friend such as her is few and far between
turning frowns to smiles of people who were mean
So continue on sis, you're doing such fine work
and forget that I was acting like a jerk
But my sis Dodi is older than me
so it'd be kind of hard to put her across my knee
She can think for herself and do what she must
Because I know whatever she does, it will be just
So it's up to her when she decides to say goodnight
And I know that for everyone when she does it's a sad sight
Not having that time to talk to her
Makes the time there is that much more pure
So I say goodnight sis dodi dear
And don't let your dreams cause you no fear
