Easily putting on a gentle face
waiting for the right moment to exploit a naive race.
Then when it's too late, the truth comes out
after the prey is consumed with self-doubt.
the psychic vampires thrive on the unaware innocent
siphoning their goodness until the victim is spent.
Leaving a shell of a person when they are done
with barely enough ambition and desire to function.
These leeches can be stopped with trained awareness
by the ability to sort out the evil from the harmless.
