To have someone watching over you
instructing and guiding everything you do.
Giving you the courage to do what's right
even when you're feeling stressed or uptight.
I like to think there's a guardian angel for me
helping get through the bad times I know there'll be.
When I think in this perspective
I often find myself being reflective.
Wondering about the possibilities of decisions I made
and if that other life is one for which I would trade.
To not know which I'd be more joyous
makes future choices I make more cautious.
Accepting destiny in the life I'm in
is better than a punch on the chin.
Following the ebb and flow of life's tide
if thought about, can give you pride.
