They enter the world unaware
that for some, life just isn't fair.
At an early age, some often are beat
dragged down and forced into defeat.
Their lives are totally shattered.
No one heard their cries, as if it mattered.
Having no one to turn to
they end up feeling blue.
Self-esteem not something which they possess
giving them doubt and feeling worthless.
To have a life, their only hope
is to escape and try to cope.
