When choosing a topic on which to write
It might take minutes or half a night.
Finally when the decision is made
Comes the time where thoughts parade.
Through his head, some fleeting some strong,
A few are great, most good, and seldom wrong.
Then he proceeds to set the stage
Expressing his ideas on to the page.
Relating the feelings he wishes to share
Consumes his being leaving him unaware.
What happens around him he does not know
When looking inward time seems to slow.
Facing and comprehending his inner eye
Shows him things he wants to deny.
In the end he uses what he can
And finishes the process where he began.
