Seasons

Spring is in the air, a new cycle begins.
After months of struggling, chaos against law,
Life against entropy, life once again wins,
Tearing itself from entropy's ever-present maw.
Summer soon enters the fray
With warmth and growth for all to see.
Taking the torch and removing the gray
From shadows and death with ambitious glee.
And so comes the fall to bring maturity and age
Saplings and flower buds which once were new
Now approach death's obsessive, jealous rage
To remove the life from things that grew.
Winter, death's ultimate climax
Takes it's final toll on all who thrive
Pestering and hounding with brutal attacks
Beating down what's left of those alive.
