-Avtomat Kalashnikov Model 47 (AK-47)- Manufacturer: Kalashnikov Cost: $2500 Ammo Per Clip/Weapon: 30/90 Range: Medium Power: High Accuracy: Medium Firing Rate: High/Medium Reload: Slow Special Function: None Tips The second best cheap weapon you can buy The rules are about the same for this weapon as they are for the MP5. There are some important notes to take into consideration. The max rounds size (not clip size) is smaller 90 rounds versus 120 rounds for the MP5. But the shells are much more powerful, able to punch right through body armor. Especially head armor. Also the rounds will penetrate most walls and boxes. The recoil is much greater with this weapon. Use half-second bursts and aim for the neck. The accuracy is better for long range than the MP5. If your playing as Ts, this is probably the best close range weapon you can buy, regardless of how much money you have. Unlike the Para, it is fairly accurate in short bursts, and an experienced player wont find it too difficult to get headshots with it even at long range. The bad points about the AK tho; Most newbies will just buy it and then as soon as they say an enemy they hold down their fire button and hope for the best. This is definitely not the way to use it. Because the AK's best points are its accuracy and power, the best tactics are to hit your enemy just once or twice, then round around the enemy, hitting him with one or two bullets at a time. Just don't get to close, especially if the enemy is using a lighter SMG. It is even possible to snipe with the AK47. Even at long range, the AK47 is extremely accurate as long as you don't fire more than two shots at once. These tactics need very good aim, and are not for the newbie. If you are new to the game, a good tactic is to simply run straight towards your enemy with your crosshair on his head and the fire button held down. A lot of players will be shocked by this behaviour, panic, and die (hopefully) -MAC-10- Manufacturer: Ingram Cost: $1400 Ammo Per Clip/Weapon: 30/90 Ammunition: .45 Caliber Power: High Accuracy: Low Firing Rate: Low Reload: Medium Special Function: None Tips Often considered a poor Terrorists MP5, the Mac-10 is something more. Sporting a 30 round magazine of .45 caliber bullets instead of the standard 9mm, the Mac-10 actually does more damage than the MP5 could ever hope for. Unfortunately, power is all the Mac-10 has to offer. It takes longer to reload than the MP5, is one of the least accurate weapons in the game, and a rate of fire that leaves much to be desired. Even when purchasing ammunition, it does not come in clips of 30, but rather clips of 12 (a la USP). The best bet for someone using this weapon is to wage their firefights anywhere between close and moderate ranges, using controlled bursts and holding down the trigger if encountering an enemy at point blank range. -SSG552 Commando- Manufacturer: SIG Cost: $1000 Ammo Per Clip/Weapon: 15/120 Range: Medium Power: Low Accuracy: Medium Firing Rate: High/Medium Reload: Slow Special Function: None Tips The terrorist AUG Higher rate of fire than the AUG and M4, Accuracy that falls in the middle of the three. This is a deadly weapon is the hands of a skilled and patient player. When using this weapon use two second burst up close and snipe for headshots from a distance. Opening this weapon up causes bullets to go everywhere but your target. Be in control. Again. This weapon recoils aim low and it will rise as you fire. -G3/SG-1 Precision Sniper Rifle- Manufacturer: Heckler & Koch Cost: $5000 Ammo Per Clip/Weapon: 20/60 Range: High Power: Medium-High Accuracy: Medium Firing Rate: High Reload: Slow Special Function: 2.25x zoom/6x zoom Tips The G3/SG-1 is the perfect gun for defending an area and slaughtering hordes of attacking or defending enemies in fire-fights. However, unless you have very good reactions, I do not recommend using this against an AWP. However, if you are up to it, there are two situations where this gun is most useful. One is when they are in the open, and cannot hide behind a box to reload, while you are tracking and shooting them. The second is when you are defending an area and are already zoomed in (and standing in a non 'instant aim' area, which is when you are in a spot where the enemy will be aiming immediately after strafing around a corner). Now for the features of the G3. It takes 2-3 bullets to kill someone with this gun. The damage varies between that of a Scout and that of a DEagle. The accuracy when un-zoomed [and fired fully-auto] is (surprisingly) better than a spread of buck-shot, which, considering it's damage, makes it almost as good as a XM1014 when out of zoom. However, you will be walking very slowly, the same speed as an AWP user, so it isn't a good idea to rely on this, especially since the gun only has a rate of fire of 4 rounds/sec compared to something like 11 or so with the AK. The only real advantage of this is that you will be able to defend yourself without having to waste time pulling out your pistol if you are surprised from behind. The accuracy of the gun (in full-auto and to a lesser extent, single shot) is affected by the level of zoom, so it is more accurate at x6 zoom than at x2.5 zoom. The correct way to fire this gun is to take single aimed shots at the chest with small pauses in between. Patience is key with this gun, in many respects it is like a beefed up Scout. The tolerance for taking shots while moving is somewhat in between that of the Scout and the AWP. When firing you should try to be stationary (if possible) and nail the target with your first shot and then follow up with a second shot to finish him off. After making a kill, try to move into cover to prep a grenade or simply to vary your position and block fire from small arms and sniper rifles. Then pop out and repeat the process. Should you fail to hit an enemy with your first shot, get behind cover while they return fire, then go back and try again. Do not crouch in a fire-fight unless you are certain that there are no AWP users; it's not necessary as you get more than adequate accuracy with this gun while standing. -Dual 96G Elite Beretta's- Manufacturer: Beretta Cost: $1000 Ammo Per Clip/Weapon: 15 rounds (30 for both weapons) /120 Rounds Ammunition: 9mm Power: Low Accuracy: Low Firing Rate: High Reload: Agonizingly Slow Special Function: None Tips This set of guns is the most fun to shoot, especially if youre a fan of Hong Kong Action Cinema. The Dual Beretta 96G Elites are the fastest firing weapons in the game that hold 30 rounds of 9mm ammunition. However, because they fire fast, have small caliber ammunition and are fun to shoot, it is only natural that they cause about as much damage as a mosquito, take a century to reload (clocked in at 6 seconds) and are as accurate as a Phillip-Morris health report. If you can spare the cash ($1000), the kills and just want to break the monotony of the game, buy yourself a pair of these stylish killers. |
