| -FN Five-Seven- Manufacturer: Fabrique Nationale Cost: $750 Ammo Per Clip/Weapon: 20/100 Ammunition: 5.7mm Power: Medium Accuracy: Medium Firing Rate: Medium Reload: Slow Special Function: None Tips The FN 57 is the Counter-Terrorist solution to the Sig Sauer P228, with a larger clip capacity and slimmer design. Other than that, it is virtually identical to the Sig Sauer with the exception that it packs a smaller punch and available only to Counter-Terrorists, and is an excellent firearm for players new to the game still looking to improve their aim and have the cash to purchase it. If you are not one of these players or a person looking to try something new, there are better guns out there. -Steyr Tactical Machine Pistol (TMP)- Manufacturer: Steyr Cost: $1250 Ammo Per Clip/Weapon: 30/120 Ammunition: 9mm Power: Low Accuracy: Low Firing Rate: High Reload: Fast Special Function: None Tips The Most Underused Weapon In Counterstrike (a title rivaled only by the Mac-10) is more useful than most people are ready to believe (perhaps it has something to do with its size). Stocked with a 30-round clip full of 9mm ammunition, the TMP rivals the MP5 in reload time and the Glock 18 in stopping power. Which is not to say that all hope is lost. With a firing rate that rivals that of the FN P90, the Steyr TMP has been known to unload its clip in less than 3 seconds into the nearest opponent, reducing them to Swiss cheese. Keep in mind however, that this weapon is best paired with sneaking tactics, as an enemy with a heavier weapon can kill you twice as fast, and you wouldnt get the bragging rights of humiliating your opponent with a death by TMP. This gun is very weak and eats through bullets way faster than the mp5. Due to the high rate of fire and weak caliber this gun recoil for the first 10 bullets isn't high. The silencer gives it a nice smooth sound and the reload time is pretty quick, but my personal opinion for this gun is to only use it when you have a good pistol to back it up as you will find your self getting caught out reloding alot. Also you have to get up close with this gun or you don't really stand a chance unless you have a lucky headshot. -M4A1 Carbine with Silencer- Manufacturer: Colt Cost: $3100 Ammo Per Clip/Weapon: 30/90 Range: Medium Power: High Accuracy: Medium Firing Rate: High Reload: Medium Special Function: Attach/Detach Silencer Tips The close combat weapon of choice The accuracy for this weapon is good head shots from a distance are easily obtainable. Use two-second bursts on targets that are closer than 10 meters and half second burst on those farther away. Aim just below the neckline and youll be rewarded with some good headshot kills. Be wary of the small clip and reserve size. You dont want to run out of ammo in a heated firefight. Like the AK47 a few nicely placed shots will take out any opponent. The Colt M4A1 has a very high accuracy, a strong punch, and a lot less recoil then quite a few other guns of it's power. It also has one of the best ROF's in the game. In my opinion it's the best rifle (and I know I'm not alone in this, and theres a big debate on Colt Vs AK, but that's a different matter), I'd drop what I had if I saw an M4A1 on the ground. Generally, the gun recoil pattern (what happens when you spray ;) is that the first 3-5 bullets are very accurate, then about the next 4-7 jump up, then the rest spread outwards. This pattern is useful for close quarter battles because, as you will find, the bullets jumping up tend to reward you with headshots more often. Long range this gun is still deadly accurate for, on average, the first 4 bullets. Also, for long range try using just a 2 bullet burst strategy, because you will be able to recover from the kickback quicker and start firing again sooner then if you were to fire any more, and hence increase your ROF. -Steyr AUG A1- Manufacturer: Steyr Cost: $3500 Ammo Per Clip/Weapon: 30/90 Range: High Power: High Accuracy: High-Medium (Bursts)/Low-Medium (Full Auto) Firing Rate: High Reload: Medium Special Function: 1.4x zoom Tips M4 that can snipe Being a little more powerful than the M4 with the ability to snipe make the AUG a choice weapon for those long-range gunfights. Until someone whips out an AWM that is. But if the map is open use AUG if the map is small corridor type use M4. When using the snipe mode always aim for the head. This will instantly kill your opponent. The AUG has a lot going for it Its very accurate and powerful in short bursts and has a scope for those long-range kills. However, it is expensive at $3500. The Aug is best used in short bursts of around 3-4 bullets. After that, the recoil goes completely crazy, even more than the AK47. The scope allows for 1.4x magnification, but again, the recoil goes crazy after only 1-2 shots. When you find that you need that extra bullet to finish an opponent, but the recoils kicking in, push your mouse down to keep your aim downwards where it was generally pointing at before. With the scope, the Steyr AUG is more of a medium to short range weapon. An ideal situation would be to have a sniper using a Scout or AWP, and having a person with an AUG to cover them. This works particular well with a Scout, as 1 shot with the Scout leaves the opponent with around 40-50 health, and then the AUGs accuracy combined with the scope can finish the opponent off. Another method that works particular well with the AUG is to strafe left or right, stop or crouch, let loose a couple of rounds at your opponentss head and then continue strafing and repeating the method. With practise, this shooting method can be applied to all guns, but it works extremely well with the AUG because of its high accuracy and power. When using the AUGs scope, be careful as it lowers the ROF (Rate of Fire). When scoped, fire a few shots at your opponent and try to retreat. The ROF limits the amount of damage you can deal at one time, so its best to retreat and leave behind a wounded opponent then for you to die and leave behind a wounded, but still-alive opponent. The great thing about the AUG is that it can be used all nearly all maps. The power of it rivals the Colt and AK in short to long range positions, and the scope enhances it further to make it a all-purpose weapon, providing you can afford the heavy cost of it. -SIG-550 Sniper Rifle- Manufacturer: SIG Cost: $4200 Ammo Per Clip/Weapon: 30/90 Range: High Power: Medium Accuracy: Medium Firing Rate: High Reload: Slow Special Function: 2.25x zoom/6x zoom Tips I'd you the same tactics as with the G3/SG-1 Sniper Rifle, though you have to fire even slower with this one. Take good time to get aim at the head on the enemies, and keep calm. Although not very effective in sniping, this one is very good to use in the up-close-combats when a foe sneaks up ahead of your aim. The rate of fire with this weapon is quite high, so aim at the chest and let the recoil do the rest! Terrorist Weapons -Dual 96G Elite Beretta's- Manufacturer: Beretta Cost: $1000 Ammo Per Clip/Weapon: 15 rounds (30 for both weapons) /120 Rounds Ammunition: 9mm Power: Low Accuracy: Low Firing Rate: High Reload: Agonizingly Slow Special Function: None Tips This set of guns is the most fun to shoot, especially if youre a fan of Hong Kong Action Cinema. The Dual Beretta 96G Elites are the fastest firing weapons in the game that hold 30 rounds of 9mm ammunition. However, because they fire fast, have small caliber ammunition and are fun to shoot, it is only natural that they cause about as much damage as a mosquito, take a century to reload (clocked in at 6 seconds) and are as accurate as a Phillip-Morris health report. If you can spare the cash ($1000), the kills and just want to break the monotony of the game, buy yourself a pair of these stylish killers. |
