| General The best strategy against camping is to know your enemy. In other words, learn to think like a camper and learn the camping spots. If you know the camping spots, then you will never be surprised or ambushed. Play as a team as most camping spots are good for only one camper and a team of two or more can easily overpower a single camper. Stick together and stay alert. If a teammate disappears from the radar, if a death appears in the corner of the screen, if someone requests backup, then take note of the position and guess whether or not your teammate died in an open firefight or was gunned down by a camper. If you stay together, when you are attacked by a camper, you are more likely to survive. So, in the later part of the round, when only a couple enemies remain and are probably camping out the round, stick with your remaining teammates - never believe for a moment you can take on a camper by yourself. Besides that, if you die alone, then your teammates won't know where you died and so, they won't know where the camper is. If you have a teammate with you, then even if you die, your teammate will most probably take out the camper. Area-campers Grenades are your friend. Use smoke to mask your approach or to mask a pincer-movement. Use a flashbang when you close upon the enemy, but always treat the enemy as if they have not been blinded (which is sometimes the case). Finally, throw your HE grenade to soften up the enemy. If everyone throws one, then enemy deaths are guaranteed before the first shot is even fired. Coordinate your attack with teammates, especially in a pincer-movement. Don't be afraid to die, since if everyone hangs back, then you are playing according to the campers' game. Room-campers Once the map is cleared, gather remaining teammates to the suspected room of campers. Know the room and know the camping spots - spam bullets at these positions, but don't expect any kills; you'll only soften the enemy. If the door is blocked by hostages, then 'use' the hostages through the door and hopefully, they will run out if the door has not been barricaded properly. The door can also be opened by throwing a weapon or with your back. In any case, get the door open and throw in flashbangs - do not use HE grenades as you will kill the hostages, unless your team is prepared to lose the hostages, or if one hostage has already been rescued. Once the flashbangs have been thrown, your team must rush the room and the first person in must get as far inside, or move along the walls inside the room to allow other teammates to follow. The first person inside should never stop just inside the door since that creates a line for the enemy to shoot at. In other words, even if the first person dies straight away, storm the room. Again, never assume the enemy is blind simply because a flashbang was deployed. What to do with the Hostages One good way to beat the campers is to simply rescue the hostages. If the campers have been careless or haven't even bothered to gather up the hostages, chances are that you can easily win the round. While there cowering in a corner your rescuing the hostages with no danger to yourself. Otherwise your best bet is to try and rescue at least half of the hostages. Don't be afraid to rescue only half and kill the rest, even if u do waste two hostages you will still get money for the ones you rescued and the money for winning the round. If u suspect a campers nest has the hostages spam them with fire and HE grenades, and imagine the look of surprise on the campers face when he/she finds out they've lost the round. |
