          **A Place Called Home**

Some of my fondest memories began in

a place I still call home. I was born on

a mild spring night to the parents I came

to love and appreciate. I was born in

the worlds most famous summer resort

town. I like to refer to it as "God's

Country," because of all the beauty that

          surrounds it.

Below you will find some of the scenery

that is from this wonderful place. Won't

you go back with me to a place called

home? I'm sure you will enjoy it.

This is a place called home. It is a place

I spent many comfortable hours. The

home belongs to one of my aunts. Any

time I need a place to go I could go here.

          ~Stopping By The Woods

          On A Snowy Evening~

Who's woods these are I think I know,

          His house is in the village though;

He will not see me stopping here

To watch his woods fill up with snow.

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,

But I have promises to keep,

And hours to go before I sleep,

And hours to go before I sleeep.

          .......Robert Frost......

One of the many mind boggling sights

          Along the Kangamangus Highway is

the "Eagle Nest", used by climber of all

ages.. a wide opening about a 1/4 way

up the mountain, narrows at it go up,

seeming to the naked eye to be nearly

          impossible to pass through.

It amazes me how God can take such a

desolate area and make a scene so awe

inspiring as "DismalPond" on the trail

          of the Kangamangus Highway through

          the White Mountains..

One of my favorite spots on the K High-

way is this little foot bridge across the

falls of Ethan's Fish Pond.. Such an

awesome sight to see..At the Willey

          House.

          English version:

May the wind be always at your

back, and may the sun rise up to

meet you and in all times, may

the glory of the Lord shine

          through you...........

          Dutch Translation:

Dat het je altijd voor de wind

mag gaan, en dat de zon je elke

dag mag beschijnen, en dat altijd

          Gods eer zal uitstralen !

Can you imagine growing up in a place

where you can roam the forests at will?

Enjoying the simple things that nature

has given us.. Carrying water to prime

the old hand pump? Cutting wood with

the old cross cut saws? These are a

few of life's treasure that my family has

          the pleasure of enjoying.
