Above All, Love

As I stand on the shore, looking out across the sea, reflection of the past come flooding back to me. As the sun begins to set over the surf, I wonder where you are. Are you content with your life, are you feeling blue?

As I look out over the ocean, my minds eye glimpses a happier time. As I see a smile fly past and a tear follow, my heart wonders why? Is it something of the past appearing to show me the future?

As I turn from the tide, walking along the wet sands of the beach, my mind drifts to the here and now. Hand in hand we stroll along the shore, shadowed by the setting sun. I have found the love that my heart yearns for.

Stopping along the shore, once more glancing out at the sea, I realize that what is here is love. Turning to you, we embrace knowing that what is important is not the past, but the present, and Above All, Love.

What is Love?

Love to me is something that is shared between two or more people. It is a bond of trust that is built on faith. Love can be shown in many different ways. You can love your brother, sister, mother and father.It is a love that is paternal.

There is the love we have for our friends. A special kind of love for those who we cherish and hold close to our hearts. Some we have known since our early childhood others for only a short time. For a true friend is a friend who is there in good times and bad. To tell you when you screw up and to praise when you do a job well done.

Love beween two people who choose one for their soul mate is one of the greatest loves of all. You choose your mate and go through life with this one person. For some this doesnt always last a life time.

The final love is the love for our children. They're a joy to cherish,nourish and bring up in a safe healthy and loving environment.
