Whe she first arrived here, Cotton wandered around her den, and the main gathering space of the Lynxx Pack, taking in every nook and cranny and sparkle of mica in the stone walls. She was skeptical of her new home -- she had been alone for too long; abandoned, as it were -- and it took Vale's constant reassurances to get her to settle down long enough to settle in.
As a pair of intellectual females, Cotton and Vale get along well. Flare, the first, very aloof male did the unexpected, and was friendlier on her behalf -- in his way. He kept the mean Lynxx (Inferno) away from Cotton for those first few weeks while she was unstable and unhappy. Nobody needs to be the scared new kid and face the bully at the same time.
